The upgrade slots
To tune your vehicle, park inside your home garage and open the garage interface. Selecting the performance category opens the modification screen for your active motorcycle.
In the gameplay footage we examined, the two confirmed mechanical upgrade slots are:
- Battery: Governs electrical charge capacity and driving range before you must connect to a charging station.
- Motor: Governs vehicle acceleration, responsiveness, and top-end road speed.
Visual customization options, such as repainting individual sections like the frame, are managed in separate garage tabs. Cosmetic paint changes carry no mechanical benefits and do not increase vehicle velocity. To learn how aesthetic modifications work, consult our guide on Customization and paint.
What the Elite tier is
The motor upgrade line contains several progressive tiers that climb in both price and performance. In the footage we checked, the highest and most expensive tier available for the motor is designated as "Elite."
Purchasing the Elite motor provides the strongest acceleration and highest top speed recorded in the tuning system. While the game does not show numerical horsepower or top speed meters on a spec sheet, gameplay shows that a bike fitted with the Elite tier pulls away from intersections with noticeably more punch. You can check vehicle baseline prices and upgrade availability on Bike prices and upgrades.
Upgrade order by budget
How you spend your tuning cash depends on the size of your current bankroll. Following a structured upgrade order avoids wasted money.
- Under 2,000 cash: Keep your money in the bank. Entry-level parts offer subtle improvements that do not justify emptying your wallet. Run your starter bike in its stock form until your balance grows.
- 2,000 to 5,000 cash: Invest in an introductory motor upgrade. Improving motor output cuts travel time between delivery pickups, accelerating your income loop.
- 5,000 to 10,000 cash: Choose between buying the 7,000 cash electric bike or installing an Elite motor on your current ride. If you stick with your starter motorcycle, installing the Elite motor turns it into an effective delivery machine.
- Over 10,000 cash: Upgrade both slots to their maximum limits. Combine the Elite motor with top-tier battery capacity so you can maintain high speeds across the entire city without hunting for a charger.
When an upgrade is not worth it
Upgrading makes little sense when you are close to saving 7,000 cash for a new vehicle purchase. Installed parts belong to the specific motorcycle they were bought for and do not transfer to a newly purchased model in your garage.
Upgrades are also counterproductive when they leave you with zero cash reserves. If you get into a police chase and fail to escape, the resulting fine can put your account balance into trouble. Always maintain a cash buffer to absorb fines and operating costs. If you need more funds before returning to the garage, consult our Money guide for the highest-paying delivery routes.
